2nd – 17th – 21st of August 2010
International Forum Bosnia, with the co-operation and support of a number of organisations from Bosnia and abroad, will hold the Fifth International Summer Camp on Youth and Heritage: Ćuprija 2010. The programme will take place in Stolac, Mostar, Rama and Sarajevo between the 2nd and 17th of August 2010. For participants who wish to stay on additional week, until 21st of August, a special program will be prepared.
The Camp will involve approximately 70 young people and 10 instructors from Bosnia and abroad. The programme includes practical, educational and recreational activities. Its purpose is to offer theoretical and practical support to the understanding of plural society, the various bases of tolerance, as well as the protection of cultural difference in societies based on the rule of law and democratically elected systems of government. During their practical activities, participants will be included in lengthier projects, learning to value, preserve, and restore the cultural and natural heritage of Stolac and its environs. The programme will also involve two workshops – one on traditional woodcarving and the other on the protection and preservation of library and archival treasures.
